Safer pressure testing in the shipyard

Control and monitor N₂ pressure tests from a safer distance.

Pressure-test failures can cause serious injury. PneuSafe lets workers control and monitor N₂ tests from outside the barricade, reducing exposure to the pressurised copper-pipe system.

Remote N₂ pressure-test setup

A remote console with a digital pressure display outside the barricade controls and monitors the test through a wired connection. Inside the danger zone, a nitrogen cylinder supplies pressure through a service connection into the copper pipework of an HVAC refrigeration system.

HVAC Engineer and Digital Transformation Developer

Alongside marine HVAC work, developed shipyard digitisation proofs of concept: a hazard observation website, forklift booking app and steel-panel production-line monitoring dashboard. Led the team that developed PneuSafe, reducing workers’ exposure during N₂ pressure testing.
